Harborline Family Law — Family law landing page template

Family law consultation page — clients write the situation, a solicitor reads it first.

Set up for FormSet up for PhoneBooking inquiry

People contacting a family solicitor are rarely ready to say it out loud, so Harborline converts on a written first consultation rather than a callback. The page explains which route actually applies — mediation, negotiated agreement, or court — gives a realistic timeline, and states plainly where a position is weak, with an explicit no-guarantee line and a confidentiality promise from the first message.

Work out where you stand, before you decide anything

Book a first consultation. A family solicitor listens to your situation, explains the options that realistically apply, and tells you plainly when the law will not give you what you want.

Family matters only · Regulated solicitors · Confidential from the first message

What the first consultation gives you

Information you can act on, whether or not you instruct us afterwards.

🧭

Which route actually applies

Mediation, negotiated agreement, or court. Most people arrive assuming court; most matters do not need it, and knowing that early saves months.

📆

A realistic timeline

How long each route usually takes in practice, including the waiting that is outside anyone's control.

📄

What to gather now

The documents and dates that matter, so nothing later depends on paperwork you no longer have access to.

🚧

Where your position is weak

Said plainly. A solicitor who only tells you what you hoped to hear is expensive in a way that shows up much later.

How it works

You control how much you share, and when.

  1. 1

    Write down the situation

In the form, in your own words. Most people find this easier than saying it out loud to a stranger, and it means the first conversation starts from facts.

  2. 2

A solicitor reviews it before speaking to you

So the consultation is spent on your options rather than on background you have already written down once.

  3. 3

    The consultation itself

By phone or in person, whichever you prefer. You leave knowing which route applies, roughly how long it takes, and what to do next week.

  4. 4

    Decide afterwards, not during

There is no instruction to sign on the day. If you want to think about it, or speak to someone else, that is the normal outcome and not an awkward one.

Regulated solicitors

Practising certificates and regulator details available on request.

🔒

Confidential from first contact

Your enquiry is privileged and is not shared with anyone else.

🤝

Mediation raised first

We say when court is not the proportionate route, including when it costs us the work.

👶

Children's arrangements prioritised

Where children are involved, their arrangements are addressed before finances.

What former clients said

Anonymised and published with written permission. Names and details changed.

I came in expecting to be told to go to court. I was told the opposite, and that it would probably cost me less to mediate. That is not what I expected from a solicitor.
Anonymised client portraitClient · separation · Consultation, then mediation
They were direct about which parts of what I wanted were unlikely. Hard to hear on the day and the reason I trusted the rest of it.
Anonymised client portraitClient · children's arrangements · Consultation only
The list of documents to gather, sent after the first call, was the single most useful thing anyone gave me in that year.

What we can and cannot promise

Stated up front, because the opposite is common in this field.

🔐

Confidentiality

From your first message, whether or not you instruct us.

🧾

Costs explained before work starts

Which stages are fixed-fee and which are hourly, in writing, before anything is chargeable.

🚫

No outcome is guaranteed

Family matters are decided on their own facts by the court or by agreement. Anyone promising you a result is not in a position to.

Questions people hesitate to ask

Does contacting you commit me to anything?+

No. Submitting the form does not create a client relationship and does not commit you to instructing this practice. Many people have one consultation, take the information away, and handle things themselves or through mediation.

Will my partner find out I contacted a solicitor?+

Not from us. Your enquiry is confidential from the first message. We will ask how you would prefer to be contacted, and we use only that channel.

Can you tell me who will get the children or the house?+

No one can, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. What a consultation can do is explain the factors the court actually weighs and tell you, honestly, where your position looks strong and where it does not.

Do I have to go to court?+

Usually not. Most matters resolve through mediation or a negotiated agreement, and in many places attempting mediation is expected before a court will engage. We will say which route is proportionate for your situation, including when that means less work for us.

Request a first consultation

Tell us what is happening in your own words. A family solicitor reads it before responding. Confidential, and no client relationship is created by submitting this form.

Harborline Family Law

Your enquiry is treated as confidential and privileged from the first message. Details are read only by solicitors at this practice, are never shared with third parties without your written instruction, and can be deleted on request at any time. We contact you only through the channel you nominate.

Information on this page is general and does not constitute legal advice. Submitting the consultation form does not create a solicitor-client relationship. Family matters are determined on their individual facts by agreement or by the court; no outcome is guaranteed and previous matters do not indicate future results. Testimonials are anonymised, published with written permission, and describe individual experiences only. Costs are explained in writing before any chargeable work begins.

Common questions

Why does the form ask people to write it out instead of offering a callback?
Because most people contacting a family solicitor are not ready to say it out loud to a stranger, and a callback asks them to do exactly that. Writing it once also means the solicitor arrives at the conversation already knowing the facts, so the consultation is spent on options rather than on background.
Doesn't saying 'we raise mediation first' cost you the bigger cases?
It costs you some litigation work and buys the trust that makes the rest of the page believable. In a category where every competitor promises to fight for you, being the practice that says when a fight is disproportionate is the only differentiator that cannot be copied by writing better copy.
Can I change anything in the Harborline Family Law template?
Yes. Copy, images, colours, and section order can all be swapped in the visual editor to match your own brand and selling points — no code required.
How do visitors reach me and leave their details?
It comes set up for Form / Phone, but the channel is a page-level setting you can change any time: pick your main channel in the editor's contact panel and every CTA on the page follows it. Form submissions land in your dashboard; WhatsApp, phone, email, and Telegram open the visitor's own app.
Is publishing to my own domain complicated?
Not at all. Pick the template, edit the content, then connect your own brand domain — DNS and the HTTPS certificate are configured automatically, and you're live in minutes.
Is running ads to this template compliant?
The template ships with a compliant footer (privacy policy and terms links) and stays non-transactional as a lead-gen page. Agency plans add anti-duplication, lowering the odds that same-template pages get flagged as duplicates by ad platforms.
